About the role

Occupational Therapist (OT) Home Health position in South Dennis, Massachusetts. This role involves evaluating and treating adult and pediatric patients using occupational therapy modalities, establishing treatment plans, administering diagnostic testing, fabricating adaptive equipment or splints, and providing patient and family education. The occupational therapist will collaborate with medical and allied health personnel to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new patients and set measurable goals.
• Develop and implement appropriate treatment programs.
• Re-evaluate patients and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain equipment and supplies.
• Provide instruction to patients and families.
• Document patient care and activities.
• Participate in clinical instruction and training of new personnel.
• Actively engage in departmental meetings, education programs, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• 1 year of experience in occupational therapy or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a home health environment.
• Additional certifications or specialized training related to occupational therapy.

Schedule

• Days shift, 8 hours per day.
• Minimum of 40 hours per week.
