About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) for a position in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. This is a 13-week, 40-hour-per-week opportunity with 8-hour shifts. The role requires 1 year of experience as an OTA and a current BLS and COTA National certification. State-specific licensure is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
  • Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
  • Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
  • Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
  • Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
  • Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.

Requirements

  • BLS
  • NBCOT (COTA)
  • Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Qualifications

  • Current BLS and COTA National certification.
  • State-specific licensure required.
  • Experience as an OTA for at least 1 year.
  • Ability to lift and assist patients safely.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles.

Skills
