Travel Occupational Therapist Acute Care Job

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for adult residents in an acute care context within a skilled nursing setting.
Implement evidence-based OT interventions to improve ADLs, mobility, upper-extremity function, cognition, safety awareness, and functional transfers.
Monitor progress, reassess outcomes, and document patient status and treatment progression in accordance with regulatory and organizational guidelines.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate discharge planning, transitions of care, and goal alignment across disciplines.
Educate patients and families on home programs, safety strategies, adaptive equipment, and activity modification; provide training to staff as needed.
Ensure safety, infection control, and adherence to relevant policies while delivering high-quality, patient-centered therapy.
Requirements
- Current occupational therapy license or eligibility to practice in the United States
- 1+ year of clinical experience in acute care or post-acute rehab settings preferred
- Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment and manage a varied caseload
- Availability to start on 07/20/2026 and commit to approximately 13 weeks
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week in a travel assignment
