Travel Occupational Therapist position in Roseburg, Oregon, for a school-based program serving students from birth through high school. This is a temporary assignment starting 08/24/2026 with an estimated duration of 42 weeks (through June 2027).
About the Role
This role serves birth-to-three and three-to-five teams within a pediatric, school-based setting. The position involves providing occupational therapy services to students, collaborating with IEP teams, and supporting school staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations, screenings, and ongoing treatment for students, focusing on fine motor skills, self-care, handwriting, sensory processing, and classroom participation.
- Collaborate with IEP teams, teachers, and families to develop, implement, and monitor individualized goals; document progress in required systems.
- Deliver direct therapy and/or consultative services to birth-to-three and three-to-five age groups; support school staff with strategies to promote participation and functional skills.
- Maintain compliant, timely documentation and ensure alignment with state and district policies; participate in safeguarding student safety and confidentiality.
- Communicate regularly with families and caregivers regarding goals, progress, and recommended supports.
- Work a Monday–Friday schedule; pay is for hours actually worked, with no pay for school holidays or closings.
Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Oregon (OT) required.
- Experience working in Oregon school-based settings, with emphasis on birth-to-three and three-to-five age groups.
- Ability to work effectively in a school-based environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to implement and adapt therapy plans within the school day.
- Availability to work daytime hours on weekdays for the duration of the assignment.
Pay
Weekly pay: $2,186 to $2,355 per week for 40 expected hours. Pay is for hours actually worked, with no guaranteed hours or pay for school holidays/closings.
