Travel Occupational Therapist Acute Care Job

About the role

Occupational Therapist position in acute care, providing home-based care to patients in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for patients receiving home-based care and identify functional goals
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve independence in activities of daily living, mobility, and upper-extremity function
• Deliver therapy sessions, therapeutic activities, and training on adaptive equipment and techniques tailored to the home environment
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and therapy goals; coach families to support ongoing progress
• Document patient progress in the electronic medical record, communicate changes to the care team, and participate in discharge planning and follow-up planning

Requirements

• Active Occupational Therapist license in Pennsylvania (or eligible for licensure)
• Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Minimum 1 year of related experience in acute care or home health settings preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a home healthcare environment and travel to patient homes
• Strong documentation and communication skills; detail-oriented and team-driven

Pay

Weekly pay range: $2,150–$2,191 per week.

Schedule

• Guaranteed hours: 40 per week
• Shift: 5x8 days
• Contract duration: 12 weeks with potential extension opportunities
