Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs to restore or improve function in ADLs, functional mobility, cognition, strength, coordination, and range of motion for patients with disease or injury.
- Deliver services across the full continuum of care in a cost-conscious, quality-focused, patient-centered manner.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, progress, and prognosis; monitor progress and adjust goals accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of interventions, progress, and outcomes; communicate changes to supervising clinicians.
Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license or eligibility as required in the practicing jurisdiction.
- Graduate of an accredited OT program; degree appropriate for professional practice.
- Experience in acute care or hospital-based rehabilitation settings preferred.
- Ability to work daytime, 12-hour shifts; 36 hours per week.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; commitment to regulatory compliance and patient-centered care.
