Job Details:
- Provide full-time outpatient and inpatient occupational therapy care, which may include work at a local Long Term Care facility
- Treat all patient age ranges and diagnoses within the occupational therapy scope of practice
- Conduct home visits and village travel as part of patient care responsibilities
- Collaborate frequently with medical providers and utilize strong didactic skills under Direct Access privilege for occupational therapy
- Incorporate evidence-based medicine into patient plans of care
- Modify patient care plans using age-specific and patient-specific considerations
- Utilize office equipment including computer, telephone, fax machine, and copy machine
- Hospital-based environment includes hi-lo table, therapeutic exercise equipment, ultrasound and electric stimulation modalities, and ADL training room
- Village-based care requires therapist to bring necessary equipment such as theraband and exercise programs
Physical Requirements:
- This position requires the ability to perform the essential functions of the role, which may include standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis, with or without reasonable accommodation.
