Travel Nurse RN - Wound Care - $2,620 per week

Wound Care Specialist position in Tacoma, Washington. This role involves managing and coordinating patient wound care, including consults, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration across multiple facilities. The position requires providing specialized wound management for diverse diagnoses, including ostomies, draining wounds, pressure ulcers, and skin conditions resulting from incontinence, surgical procedures, or trauma. The clinician will contribute to patient education and support interdisciplinary teams, working in a dynamic inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate patient wound care across multiple facilities
• Provide consults and documentation for wound care interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Perform specialized wound management for ostomies, draining wounds, pressure ulcers, and skin conditions
• Educate patients and support teams on wound care best practices
• Adhere to unit-specific protocols and utilize a variety of wound care techniques, including VAC therapy

Requirements

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON) through NAWCO
• Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant wound care experience
• Willingness to submit license
• Experience working in acute care settings preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Smith and Nephew wound vacs
• Knowledge of EPIC charting system
• Strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills

Schedule

• Days (4/10s)
• Float to other facilities as needed
• Minimum of 40 hours per week
