The ICU Surgical registered nurse position is located in Damariscotta, Maine. The role involves providing high-quality care in a surgical intensive care unit environment, supporting patients requiring complex medical and surgical interventions. It offers an opportunity to work within a dedicated team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Schedule
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
- Occasional float to Medical Surgical Exchange (MSE) units may be required
Responsibilities
- Manage patients with complex needs, including those on ventilators and vasoactive drips
- Utilize equipment such as ventilators, ceiling lifts, plumb pumps, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and SCD boots
- Work within an electronic medical record system
Requirements
- Valid nursing license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent degree
- At least 5 years of experience in critical care
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Dress code: navy blue scrubs
