Travel Nurse RN - SICU - Surgical Intensive Care - $2,160 per week

About the role

The organization is seeking a Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a night-shift assignment in an acute care setting. The position involves providing specialized care for post-surgical, trauma, and multi-system patients, with responsibilities including titration of drips, interpretation of monitor strips, and collaboration with intensivists.

Responsibilities

• Care for post-surgical, trauma, and multi-system trauma patients
• Manage ventilator equipment including Vents, CPAP, Bipap
• Read and interpret monitor strips
• Collaborate with in-house intensivists and telemedicine support
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and shadowing

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts from approximately 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Minimum 36 hours per week
• Six-week rotating weekend schedule
• Holiday coverage every other holiday
• Floating may be required, including full teams to lower care levels

Required Qualifications

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year ICU surgical experience
• Active IL license or initiated application process
• Confirmation of eligibility for Illinois licensure
• Understanding of OSF policies and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Level I trauma experience
• ICU experience
• Ability to titrate drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, and insulin
