Travel Nurse RN - PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - $1,589 per week

VyTalent Solutions is seeking a travel nurse for a Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) assignment in Dallas, Texas.

About the Role

This is a 13-week travel contract at a hospital in Dallas, Texas. The position involves caring for pediatric patients in the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU), including those with congenital heart disease.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts: 19:00 - 07:00 (Day/Night, Rotating)
• 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Care for pediatric patients in the CVICU, including those with congenital heart disease
• Monitor and manage arterial, central, and transthoracic lines
• Assist with post-operative recovery and general cardiac procedures
• Perform procedures such as intubation, extubation, and sternal closures
• Respond to emergencies including codes and ECMO management

Requirements

• 1 year of Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience as a staff nurse
• 3-4 contracts in a dedicated pediatric CICU
• 2 years minimum PICU experience as a staff nurse
• Experience caring for patients with congenital heart disease and post-operative management of CHD patients
• Experience with management of arterial lines, central lines, and transthoracic lines
• Current certifications: PALS, BLS, ACLS
