Travel Nurse RN - PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - $1,900 per week

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) registered nurse (RN) position available in Wichita, Kansas. This assignment involves working overnight shifts at a dedicated pediatric ICU within a general hospital setting. The role provides an opportunity to deliver specialized care to critically ill children in a fast-paced teaching hospital environment.

About the role

The unit operates as a Level II Trauma Pediatric ICU with 15 beds, staffing 38 team members, including intensivists, RNs, RTs, and support staff. Typical procedures involve IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements. The unit utilizes Meditech / CPN electronic medical records system. Float rotation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized care to critically ill children in a pediatric ICU
• Perform procedures such as IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements

Requirements

• Current licensure as an RN
• At least 1 year of recent acute care hospital experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) experience
• Prior experience in a teaching hospital setting

Schedule

• Nights, 12-hour shifts
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Assignment duration: 09/14/2026 to 12/14/2026
