About the role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission‑certified travel nursing agency, is seeking a Pediatric Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13‑week travel assignment in Phoenix, Arizona. The position starts 10/26/2026, requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour shifts, and is a travel RN role.
Responsibilities
- Care for critically or chronically ill pediatric cancer patients.
- Administer chemotherapy and implement new methods of symptom treatment.
- Monitor patient progress and create a supportive environment.
- Provide care throughout all stages of the condition, focusing on the acute phase.
- Assist patients ranging from post‑surgical to near‑terminal in managing disease and treatment.
- Educate patients and families about treatment options, procedures, and disease particularities.
Requirements
- Active RN license.
- Degree from an accredited nursing program.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum 18 months of recent experience in an acute care pediatric oncology setting.
