Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $3,400 per week

About the role

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Show Low, Arizona. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to patients in a step-down unit, with a focus on reading strips and managing a diverse patient census.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a 18-bed PCU/Stepdown Unit (MS 1)
• Read and interpret patient strips
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:6 during night shifts
• Care for a mixed patient census, including occasional pediatric beds

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of PCU/Stepdown experience
• Valid RN license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification (optional)

Schedule

• Night shift, 12-hour shifts
• Minimum of 48 hours per week (36-hour contracts may also be available)
• Assignment duration: 13 weeks (September 21, 2026 – December 21, 2026)
