Travel Nurse RN - PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - $2,356 per week

About the role

TotalMed is seeking a travel nurse RN for a PACU - Post Anesthesia Care position in Casper, Wyoming. This is a travel nursing assignment with a start date of September 21, 2026, for a duration of 13 weeks, working 40 hours per week on 10-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide observation and care for post-op patients as they recover from surgical anesthesia
• Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during the critical step between surgery and recovery
• Handle a broad range of patients from pediatrics to adults
• Develop individualized care plans based on each patient's condition
• Monitor critical patients for condition changes and report to the physician
• Determine when patients are recovered and ready to move to a room

Requirements

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to bend, lean and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times when moving or lifting patients
• Good skills for coping with stress
• Ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds
