Travel Nurse RN - PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - $2,680 per week

About the role

TotalMed is seeking a travel nurse RN for a PACU position in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This is a 13-week travel nursing assignment with 40 hours per week, 8-hour evening shifts.

Unit details

• Unit: PACU Clinical Interview
• Experience required: 2 years Phase I/Phase II; will consider first-time traveler if extensive PACU experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS; CAPA or CPAN certification (either accepted)
• Floating: Travelers will float regularly between Phase I and Phase II Recovery for Main+6 PACU and East PACU
• Ratios: Pre-op 1:3; Phase I 1:2; Phase II 1:3

Required skills

• Experience in PACU with above patient types
• Read and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Manage cardiac gtts
• Provide discharge instructions
• Work Phase I and Phase II recovery
• Experience recovering post-cath, bronchs, and IR patients highly preferred (send for manager approval if minimal or no experience)
• Hard stops: art lines, TR bands, chest tubes, CBI, EPIC

Patient types

• Inpatient, outpatient, observations
• Pediatrics and adults
• General, plastics, urology, GI, bariatrics, GYN, minor vascular, neurosurgery (spine, cranies)
• Robotics cases, ophthalmology, ortho, cardiothoracic (thoracotomies/pericardial windows, no open hearts)
• ENT (sinus, PE tubes, T/As), endovascular, fistulas, bronchs, post-cath, post-IR/Neuro IR
• Vented/ICU level patients typically go to ICU post-OR, but could occasionally have intubated patient or assist with intubation in PACU
