Shift information
- Varies: 3 x 12s: Days (0600–1830, 0700–1930, 0800–2030)
- Call requirements include Saturday and Sunday on a rotational basis, approximately once every six weeks (may be as frequent as once every four weeks).
- Call includes Saturday from 0700–1700 and Sunday from 0700–1400.
Facility and unit
- Northwest Medical Center – COU – Cardiac Observation Unit
Required credentials and experience
- RN license in Arizona or a compact state
- ACLS
- BLS
- Experience in one or more of the following areas will be considered on a case-by-case basis: PACU, ICU, Telemetry, Cath Lab, Surgery Center
Responsibilities
- Admit patients
- Prepare patients for Cath procedures (charting pre-procedure checklist, IV start, access preparation)
- Prepare patients for Cardioversions (CV) and Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
- Recover patients following Cath who had conscious sedation
- Sedate, circulate, and document bedside procedures; CV & TEE
- Discharge patients (teaching, documentation, and physical discharge)
Traveler requirements
- Travelers must show proof of residence greater than 50 miles from the facility.
- Travelers must not have worked as permanent staff for CHS within the last 12 months.
