Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,315 per week

Job Summary

The role involves providing surgical assistance and supporting various surgical procedures within an acute care environment. The position requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient patient care during surgical operations.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, primarily day/evening, with varied start times. Shifts include 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, and 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with weeknight and weekend on-call rotations.

Required Qualifications

• Valid license to practice.
• Certification in ACLS (American Heart Association) and BLS (American Heart Association).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room specialty.
• Must have previous travel assignment experience (2-3 assignments).
• Ortho experience required, with proven experience passing arms in and out for robotics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with all specialties for evening/night shift.
• EPIC electronic medical records system experience.
• Scrubbed RN competence.

Additional Information

• The department handles approximately 35-45 cases daily, including general, ENT, eye, ortho, trauma, vascular, and pediatric surgeries.
• The unit operates almost exclusively with traveler staff and requires scrubs provided on-site.
• Orientation consists of 3 shifts over one week.
• Outpatient surgery coverage and float to outpatient services.
• Call response time is 30 minutes; staff are expected to stay if they cannot arrive within that window.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
