Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,304 per week

About the role
- 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- 13-week contract
- Float to all inpatient units as required
- Work in a 40-bed Post Surgical Care Unit providing pre and post-surgical care for adult and geriatric patients
- Nurse to patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5 on days/evenings
- Fast-paced unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy during the week
- Average patient length of stay is 2-3 days
- Must have ability to multitask, prioritize patient care based on acuity, and work as part of a team
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
- Trauma Level II experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Equipment used includes Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
- Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
- Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Any color scrubs permitted

This facility is a hospital featuring a fast-paced Post Surgical Care Unit that provides care along a continuum for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients. The 40-bed inpatient unit maintains high occupancy rates and supports a high volume of daily admissions, reflecting the facility's commitment to comprehensive surgical and post-recovery patient care. The facility also maintains Trauma Level II designation and utilizes modern technology including Epic EMR to support clinical staff in delivering quality patient care.

Estimated gross weekly pay: $2,304 plus a $500 contract completion bonus.
