Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,304 per week
About the role
13-week travel nursing assignment in Iron River, Michigan for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med Surg. The contract starts on 08/10/2026 and offers 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM).
- 72 guaranteed hours biweekly with overtime after 80 hours worked in the second week
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- Float to the emergency department within competency required
- May be low censused and placed on call with a minimum 2-hour callback requirement
- Provide general nursing care primarily for geriatric patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD, and diabetes
- Work on a 25-bed Med/Surg unit with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of Med/Surg experience required; ED experience preferred but not required
- Candidates with both Med/Surg and ED experience are highly preferred
- Strong charting experience with Epic EMR, CareScape patient monitors, and Pyxis required
- Current Michigan RN license and AHA BLS required; ACLS preferred but not required
- Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Any colored scrubs permitted

Pay
Estimated gross weekly pay: $2,304 plus a $500 contract completion bonus. Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with tax-free stipends for lodging, meals, and incidentals.
