Travel Nurse RN - Long Term Care (LTC) Long Term Care - $2,035 per week

About the role

Long Term Care (LTC) nursing unit in a nursing home setting providing direct patient care for residents with conditions such as COPD, dementia, Parkinson's disease, MS, and CHF. Supervises Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and performs routine nursing duties in a facility with 38 residents. Assignment runs from 08/31/2026 to 11/30/2026 with day shifts and a mix of 8-hour or 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for residents with COPD, dementia, Parkinson's disease, MS, and CHF
• Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
• Perform routine nursing duties
• Pass medications
• Provide wound care, Foley care, and ostomy care
• Chart using Point Click Care (PCC)

Requirements

• BLS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience in long-term care or related settings
• Valid license to practice nursing
• Located within 50 miles of the facility

Qualifications

• Supervisory skills
• Experience passing medications
• Wound care, Foley care, and ostomy care experience
• Previous nursing home experience preferred
• Self-motivated

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Days, weekends, and every other holiday required
• 8-hour or 12-hour shifts available
• Block scheduling options available based on operational needs
• Every other weekend and holiday work required
• No floating required
• Unit ratio: day shifts approximately 1 nurse to 2-3 CNAs for 20 residents; night shifts 1 nurse to 2-3 CNAs for 40 residents
• Upfront RTO approval required for requested time off

• Facility uses Point Click Care (PCC) for charting
• On-site pharmacy services available
• Self-scheduling or block scheduling may be available based on operational needs
• No after-hours physician read strips
• Not involved with IVs or titratable drips
• No standing calls or standby duties
• No full-time, part-time, or PRN candidates with affiliated facilities within the past year
