About the role
Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Care (LTC) for a 13-week assignment in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Job Duties
- LPN - Pass meds, wound care, Foley/cath care, PEG tube feedings, Ostomy care, trache care.
- RN will take care of IVs, PICC lines, mediports, etc.
Requirements
- CPR must be held prior to start date.
- Common diagnoses/types of patients: Inability to care for self, Sepsis, Femur Fx, NSTEMI, CKF, CHF, UTI.
- Mix of long term residents and residents here to gain strength to return.
- No home.
Experience or 'Must have' skills
- Are there IV's or titratable drips?
- IVs, PICC lines, Mediports, Central Lines.
- Area there Tele monitors?
- If so do you have monitor techs on this unit?
- Do RN's read strips?
- N/A.
- Are RN's required to attend team conferences for acute inpatient rehab?
- N/A.

- Physician availability: 24/7.
- Interdisciplinary Team: PT/OT/SLP, Pulmonary or Cardiac Rehab, Case Managers, Social Workers, Dieticians, PT, OT, ST, Social Services, Case Managers, Business Office, Dieticians, Pharmacist, Medical Records.
- RT on-site: No.
- Pharmacy on-site: Yes.
- Medication dispensing system: Medications received from hospital down the hill.

Schedule & Scheduling
- Shifts: 12 hours, days.
- Hours: 36 hours per week.
- Shift: 12 hours, every other weekend required; blocked schedule.
- Call or Standby Requirement: NO.
- Floating Requirements: Travel float as needed.
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: RN's: navy blue nurses; LPN's: navy blue nurses; CNA's: gray scrub pants; any print top.
