Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care - $2,205 per week

Job Summary

Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse located in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing specialized patient care in a busy IMCU environment, supporting patients with thoracic and cardiac conditions, including those requiring ventilator and transplant support. The role demands critical thinking, teamwork, and compassionate nursing practices within a dynamic hospital setting.

Schedule

12‑hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend and some holidays required. Minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or a current compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years recent acute‑care inpatient RN experience in the specialty within the last 3 years
• ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with thoracic surgery patients
• Ventilator management
• Transplant patient care
• Cardiac telemetry
• Experience with electronic medical records systems such as Epic
• Prior experience with arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, and other specialized procedures

Additional Information

• Traveler must pass a telemetry interpretation exam (up to two attempts) with a score of 80 % or higher before start date.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
