About the Role
Travel nursing position for an ICU - Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Duration: 13 weeks
Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift: 12 hours, days
Employment Type: Travel
Patient Ratios: RN: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 (rare) – acuity dependent
Responsibilities
- Manage IV medications (vasopressors, sedation, paralytics)
- Handle hemodynamic lines and ventilator management
- Perform proning and telemetry monitoring
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Work effectively in a fast-paced team setting with all critical patients
- Float to ED (if ICU RN qualified) or ICU (if PCU RN qualified)
Requirements
- Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure – South Dakota Board of Nursing
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification (REQUIRED)
- Epic experience
- Experience with critical care patients
Preferred Skills
- Impella experience
- IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) experience
- CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) experience
