Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Rapid City, South Dakota.

About the Role

Unit Overview: 39-bed mixed ICU, heavy trauma and high-acuity patient population. Travelers generally will not float to CVICU unless they have prior CVICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Cares for critically ill adult patients including: Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Cardiac ICU, Neuro ICU, Trauma ICU
• Treatment of common diagnoses such as ARDS, Myocardial Infarction (MI), Stroke (CVA/TIA), COVID, Post-cardiac catheterization, Post-surgical patients, Multi-system trauma, CABG (24–48 hours post-op), TAVR (24–48 hours post-op), Fresh open-heart patients.
• Experience with Epic EMR, Ventilator management, Hemodynamic monitoring, Vasopressors, Sedation, Paralytics, Telemetry, Proning.
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills, strongly preferred: CRRT, Impella, IABP.

Requirements

• 2+ years of recent ICU experience (excluding travel assignments) strongly preferred
• Candidates with 1.5+ years of ICU experience may be considered if they have significant additional RN experience (manager approval required)
• First-time travelers are NOT accepted
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
• Must live 100+ miles from any Monument Health facility
• Former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as travelers

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, NIS, STNA, TNCC (Required before arrival)

Skills
