Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $2,189 per week
Job Description
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment in Providence, Rhode Island.
Requirements
- One year of recent experience as an ICU RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications
Qualifications
- Preferred: CCRN certification
- TNCC, NIHSS certification
Essential Work Functions
- Assess and monitor critically ill patients
- Administer complex medications and treatments
- Operate and manage advanced life support equipment
- Maintain patient safety and comfort
- Document patient conditions and interventions
- Communicate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives
Required Essential Skills
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to read/write/communicate in the English language
- Read/write/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Physical abilities - remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Interpersonal skills - work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
- Technical/motor skills - grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Mental requirements - cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
- Sensory - possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
