About the role
HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Overland Park, Kansas.
Responsibilities
- Provide critical care nursing in the Intensive Care Unit
- Work 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, for a 13-week duration
- Manage ventilators and administer sedation, vasopressors, and blood products
- Participate in goals of care conversations with patients and families
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
- Perform or assist with procedures including cardioversion, PEG placements, EGD, bronchs, EVD placement, chest tube insertion, central line/art line placement, and rapid sequence intubation
Requirements
- Critical care experience required
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary team
- Vent management experience
- Experience with sedation, vasopressors, and blood products
- Comfort with goals of care conversations
- Team-focused attitude
- Neuro ICU experience preferred
