Job Description

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The role involves providing critical care to patients in the ICU, operating life-support equipment, and collaborating with healthcare teams.

Requirements

• One year of recent ICU RN experience
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications
• Preferred: CCRN certification, TNCC, NIHSS certification

Essential Work Functions

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients
• Administer complex medications and treatments
• Operate and manage advanced life support equipment
• Maintain patient safety and comfort
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately
• Communicate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives

Required Essential Skills

• Ability to read/write and communicate verbally
• Proficiency in PC skills
• Physical abilities: remain in stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
• Interpersonal skills: work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
• Technical/motor skills: grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
• Mental requirements: cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision occasionally, work without assistance from other personnel, contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally, and maintain continuous concentration to detail
• Sensory: possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
