Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,377 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Newark, Delaware. We're looking for Emergency Room RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Newark, DE. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations, advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries, and plan long-term care needs.
• Document medical history, check for allergies, obtain patient vital signs, and monitor patients' emotional and physical well-being.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.

Requirements

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (1‑2 years preferred).
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Skills

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Capable of lifting 20 pounds routinely; patient moving/lifting may require up to 50 pounds.
• Strong stress‑coping skills and ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
