AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
About the role
This travel nursing assignment is at a 580-bed Level 3 Trauma center and teaching hospital. The facility serves as a regional trauma center and offers specialty units for cardiac and cancer care. Tuscaloosa features a lively college-town atmosphere with attractions like the Riverwalk, the University of Alabama, and the Paul W. Bryant Museum. Birmingham is approximately a 1-hour drive away.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department.
- Utilize critical thinking skills in fast-paced trauma and emergency settings.
- Work with Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or a compact state.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent emergency department experience (2 years preferred).
- Certifications: ACLS-AHA, BLS-AHA, PALS-AHA, CERT-TNCC (copies required).
- SSN and date of birth required for compliance.
- One professional reference from the last 12 months.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Meditech EMR systems.
Schedule
- Duration: 13 weeks.
- 48 hours per week (36 or 48 hours/week, nurse’s choice).
- Shift: 12-hour nights.
Pay
Pay rate: $2,317.00 - $2,436.00 per week (subject to confirmation). Tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
