Responsibilities

• Scrub color: Hospital provides scrubs.
• Number of beds: 6 ORs.
• Patient ratios: All cases require 1 scrub and 1 circulator; pump cases also require a first assist/Heart Holder (RN or CST).
• Unit staffing: 1 Unit Secretary, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 PCA, 1 Core Tech.
• Equipment: Stryker.
• Documentation system: Cerner.
• Scheduling: On‑call shifts assigned and rotated among staff.
• Floating policy: May float if needed, infrequent.
• Patient experience requirements: Extensive relevant CVOR experience required.

Requirements

• RN License.
• BLS certification.
• No first‑time travelers accepted (strict).

Qualifications

• Extensive relevant CVOR experience.
• Scrub/first assist experience preferred but not required.

Skills

Must have extensive expertise and experience in the RN Circulator Role for the following procedures: CABG, Valve Replacement, VAD Insertions, TAVR, VATS, Lobectomy, Pacemaker/AICD Insertions, Septal Myectomy, Ross Procedure, EVH, IABP Insertions, Femoral Cannulation, Circulatory Arrest. Advanced skills in scrub/first assist are preferred but not required.
