About the role
Travel nursing assignment in Chattanooga, Tennessee at a facility with 30 beds and a 5-6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio. Unit staffing includes a unit clerk on days, 2-3 PCTs day and night, a Nursing Supervisor, and Hospitalists.
- Welch Allyn vitals neuron, Novameter glucose, Philips Telemetry and MP2 equipment
- Meditech-HCA documentation system
- WOW with med drawers and PyxisES dispensing system
Responsibilities
- Equivalent of every other weekend (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule)
- Float to other Medical/Surgical areas: general MS, Ortho, PCU (Progressive Care Unit), M/S surgical with oncology as needed
- Bedside Rounding and Hourly Rounding with 5P’s checked
- Report known patient needs to PCTs at the beginning and during shifts
- Check department glass board for focus areas and use scrolling video kiosk or email for updates
Requirements
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
