Travel Nurse RN - Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,491 per week

About the unit

Primary patient population includes CV surgery and vascular surgery (open heart surgery such as CABG, AVR, MVR, Bentall, TAVR, etc.), thoracic lung surgery (lobectomy, thoracotomy, etc.), esophagogastrectomy, AAA (open and endovascular), fem-pop bypass, carotid endarterectomies, plus overflow medical cardiology patients with diagnoses of heart failure, DKA, chest pain, sepsis, heart block, etc.

• Number of Beds – 40 cardiac surgery stepdown beds
• Number of Staff – approximately 100 total
• Type of equipment – Baxter IV pumps, CADD epidural pumps, various lifts
• EMR - Cerner
• Typical procedures performed on unit: epidural management, chest tube management, tube feedings, IV gluccomander, cardiac gtt management (phenylephrine, dobutamine, dopamine, milrinone, cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, heparin, nitroglycerin, ketamine)

Requirements

• 2+ years current acute care PCU hospital experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications
• Dedicated, motivated, and proactive – ready to complete online paperwork and onboarding quickly
