About the role
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Asheville, NC. This 13-week travel contract position entails caring for critically ill neonates and providing support to their families in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should have strong assessment skills, the ability to make sound clinical judgments, and a warm bedside manner.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates in the NICU.
- Monitor vital signs and assess the health status of patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate and support families regarding neonatal care and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- NRP certification required; NIC-RNC preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years Level III NICU experience preferred.
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts, nights: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
- 36 hours per week
