About the role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specialized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to provide high-quality care to critically ill newborns in Asheville, NC. This is a 13-week contract travel position with a schedule of 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to neonates in a Level III NICU setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate parents and families on the care and needs of their infants.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using EMR (Cerner).

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Level III NICU experience preferred.
• Current nursing license in the state of practice.
• NRP certification required; NIC-RNC preferred.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

12-hour shifts, days (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM).
