Travel Neuro ICU RN - $2,190 per week

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients in a Neuro Intensive Care Unit
• Manage ventilated patients and interpret/manage dysrhythmias
• Administer blood products and care for central lines
• Manage continuous IV sedation and external ventricular drains (EVD)
• Monitor intracranial pressure (ICP) and care for post-neurosurgery patients
• Handle CVA/acute stroke management and lumbar drains
• Adhere to isolation precautions and use of PPE
• Float to other units as required
• Work every other weekend

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Neuro ICU (no first-time travelers)
• Strong experience with stroke patients
• Comfortable with nurse-to-patient ratios of 2:1 (can flex up to 3:1 in high census)
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH
• Skills: Vents, IV Start, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, EVD, ICP monitoring, post-neurosurgery management, care of ventilated patients, isolation precautions/PPE, lumbar drain experience
• Local candidates accepted with possible rate difference

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts: 18:45 - 07:15
• 36 hours per week offered
• Assignment duration: 13 weeks (up until the end of February)
• Unit orientation: 24 hours (2 days or 2 nights)
• No call requirement
• Maximum 7 days RTO for auto offer
