About the role
Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position in a busy acute hospital setting utilizing a Telemetry model. The role requires flexibility to float within scope to meet staffing needs, with a focus on adult and geriatric patient populations. The unit utilizes a Co-Care/Virtual Nursing model, with a ratio of 1 bedside RN, 1 Virtual RN, and 1 CNA per patient. The virtual nurse works remotely assisting with admission questions, discharge education, care plans, and follow-up with physicians. Float to similar units may be required. Candidates are expected to work three of the five major holidays and include all RTO requests during submittal.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care within a Telemetry model
- Float within scope to meet staffing needs
- Assist with admission questions, discharge education, care plans, and physician follow-up as part of the Co-Care/Virtual Nursing model
Requirements
- Current RN license in hand
- AK RN license application process to be completed within 48 hours of signing and in hand for auto-offer
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an RN
- Must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- References covering the past 1 year, with at least 2 from recent work experience
- Do not contact the facility directly unless scheduled for an interview
Schedule
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts
- Minimum 48 hours per week
