About the role
Medical Surgical with Telemetry registered nurse (RN) position is available in a trauma-level III medical facility offering comprehensive healthcare services to the region. The role involves caring for adult patients with a variety of medical-surgical conditions, including post-operative care, respiratory issues, diabetic care, and sepsis management. The assignment provides an opportunity to work in a modern, well-equipped environment with a diverse patient population.
This position involves caring for post-operative patients, including those with orthopedic, neurosurgical, and abdominal surgeries, and respiratory issues. The nurse will utilize equipment such as IV pumps and VS monitors in a Cerner electronic health record environment. The role demands adherence to facility policies and guidelines, integrating into a cohesive team focused on high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Care for adult patients aged 18-100+ with medical-surgical and telemetry needs
- Float to lower acuity areas such as Cardiology, Nephrology, Inpatient Rehabilitation, or Pediatrics (adult patients only)
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) with active certification(s) and valid license
- At least 0 years of experience in medical-surgical or telemetry units
- Excellent customer service and patient experience skills
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
