Travel Medical Surgical Telemetry RN - $2,100 per week

About the Role

Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry at a healthcare organization in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The position involves providing high-quality patient care on a Med/Surg unit with telemetry monitoring, supporting a variety of patient conditions including chest pain, post-cath lab, CHF, AFib, cerebrovascular events, and other acute care needs. The role is suitable for first-time travelers and requires adaptability to a fast-paced environment during night shifts.

Schedule

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
• Scheduling created six weeks in advance
• Holiday rotation expectations

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care on a Med/Surg unit with telemetry monitoring
• Perform ostomy care and manage IVs
• Handle drip medications such as heparin, insulin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone
• Support telemetry and electronic fetal heart monitoring
• Chart using EPIC system
• Document pain levels before and after medication administration
• Manage admissions and discharges
• Care for ambulatory patients

Requirements

• Valid BLS certification
• 0-2 years of experience in acute care
• Current licensure as an RN
• Experience in observation units preferred
• Adherence to fatigue policies
• Scrub color can be any (no camo/denim)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with basic medical-surgical skills and telemetry
• Experience in fast-paced unit operations

Additional Information

• Support team includes charge nurses, unit secretary, hospitalist, RT, telemetry tech, and phlebotomy
• Orientation includes 4-8 hours of Neuro (NEO) training
