Travel Medical Surgical Telemetry RN - $2,150 per week

Job Summary

This role involves providing patient care on a cardiac and renal unit within a healthcare facility. The position is day shift, offering a dynamic environment for experienced nurses skilled in cardiac telemetry and critical care procedures.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour days, shift time from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Current active compact license
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum of 2 years of strong Cardiac/Telemetry experience, including trauma level II assignments
• Recent EPIC charting experience (will require a checkoff class)
• At least one previous travel assignment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience interpreting 12-lead EKGs and passing tele test requirements
• Able to initiate and titrate drips (antiarrhythmics, Heparin, amino acids, etc.)
• Proficiency in PIV insertion, chest tube and indwelling drain management
• Patient assessment and critical thinking skills

Additional Information

• This role involves caring for a high acuity Telemetry/M/S patient population with cardiac-heavy cases including atrial fibrillation (with RVR), flutter, blocks, and heart cath procedures without interventions
• The unit has 41 beds, with staffing ratios of 1:4-5 during days
• Unit managers have over 15 years of experience, fostering a strong team environment
• No Covid-19 vaccination is required at this time, and there may be precepting responsibilities for students and new hires
