Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical with Telemetry in North Carolina. This position involves providing patient care in a 27-bed medical-surgical unit with telemetry capabilities. The role requires delivering high-quality nursing services to diverse patient populations, including those with stroke, COPD, chest pain, altered mental status, and GI bleed, with responsibilities aligned to the clinical demands of a busy acute care environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a 27-bed medical-surgical unit with telemetry capabilities.
• Deliver high-quality nursing services to patients with stroke, COPD, chest pain, altered mental status, and GI bleed.
• Adapt to the clinical demands of a busy acute care environment.
• Potential to float within the region to other facilities as needed, with possible mid‑shift travel compensation.
• Participate in a two‑day orientation.
• Wear navy blue scrubs and utilize free parking.
• Work with modern technology: EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Philips monitors.
• Collaborate with support staff including CNAs and phlebotomists.

Requirements

• Valid nursing license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
• Minimum 18 months of medical‑surgical and telemetry experience.
• Educational background consistent with RN licensure.

Preferred experience includes:

• Stroke assessments.
• Chest tube management.
• PIV starts
