Travel Medical-Surgical RN - $2,180 per week
About the role
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse position available in an acute care setting. This role involves providing compassionate and skilled nursing care to a diverse patient population, including post-operative, pediatric, and medical patients. The position requires adaptability, strong medication administration skills, and experience with EPIC electronic medical records.
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- Minimum of 36 hours per week, with additional shifts possible
- Shift weekend rotations every other week
- Holiday rotation with regular staff
Responsibilities
- Titrate and manage IV drips (no titrating cardiac or insulin drips required)
- Read cardiac and ICU monitor strips
- Assist with patient repositions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
- Float rotation required; candidates should be comfortable assisting other units as needed
Requirements
- Valid RN licensure
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification
- NIHSS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience on a medical-surgical unit
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with telemetry, ventilators (CPap, Bipap, high flow)
- Managing various patient conditions such as congestive heart failure, pneumonia, abdominal pain, pancreatitis, orthopedic injuries, detox, surgical post-ops, and pediatric care
Orientation
- 3-5 days, including unit tour, introductions, and policy review
- Training provided by education, pharmacy, and lab departments
