Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Medical Surgical (Med Surg) position in Omaha, Nebraska. This role involves providing patient care on a Medical Surgical unit within an acute care setting, with a specific emphasis on oncology cases and overflow scenarios. The position requires adherence to clinical protocols, documentation standards, and collaboration with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Care for MedSurg patients with a patient ratio of 1:5
• Float as needed within scope of practice
• Adhere to clinical protocols and documentation standards
• Collaborate with healthcare team members

Requirements

• Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of related clinical experience
• Current RN license
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass the Pass/Fail exam during orientation with a score of 90% or higher
• Driver’s license for verification purposes
• Comfortable with first-time traveler assignments
• Must meet all clinical and policy requirements, including department-specific protocols (e.g., fingernail policy)

Schedule

• Day shift, 12 hours per shift
• 36 hours per week
• Duration: 17 weeks
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
