About the role

The medical surgical floor nursing position is located in Alexandria, Louisiana. This role involves providing high-quality patient care through routine and complex nursing practices. The nurse will demonstrate independence in clinical settings while adhering to established protocols and practices, supporting patient recovery and well-being in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments following the appropriate protocol, monitor for side effects and effectiveness, document patient history and care provided, and offer patient and family education.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• 0 years of experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required
• RN License in the state of Louisiana or a compact license

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Schedule: Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Overtime is not billable until after 48 hours per week.
