About the role

Join our dynamic Medical Surgical Unit, where you'll provide patient care in a supportive environment. The unit comprises 52 private beds and is equipped to handle various medical and surgical conditions. The Charge Nurse also takes a full patient assignment, supported by a Clinical Assistant during the week.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, primarily post-operative patients.
• Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and medical conditions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, including Hospitalists and Intensivists available 24/7.
• Administer medications and perform treatments (IVs managed by the IV team).
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state.
• BLS certification required; NIHSS certification required; ACLS is a plus.
• Experience in Medical Surgical nursing is highly preferred.
• Experience with peritoneal dialysis is highly preferred.
• Candidates must submit an unexpired driver's license along with their application.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts, with weekends as scheduled.
• 36 hours per week.
