About the role
Provides skilled nursing care in a long-term care facility, overseeing patient care plans, administering treatments, monitoring health status, and collaborating with healthcare teams. Supervises nursing staff, educates residents and families, and ensures regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor residents' health, updating care plans accordingly
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Perform skilled procedures such as wound care and IV therapy
- Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs, delegating tasks appropriately
- Educate residents and families on health management
- Document care activities and resident progress timely
- Respond to emergencies and coordinate with healthcare providers
- Maintain safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Recent RN experience in long-term care
- Valid RN license and current BLS/CPR certification
- Critical thinking, strong communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English, computer skills, and physical ability to perform necessary tasks
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and handle pressure
