Travel Long Term Care RN

About the role

Provides skilled nursing care in a long-term care facility, overseeing patient care plans, administering treatments, monitoring health status, and collaborating with healthcare teams. Supervises nursing staff, educates residents and families, and ensures regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor residents' health, updating care plans accordingly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform skilled procedures such as wound care and IV therapy
• Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs, delegating tasks appropriately
• Educate residents and families on health management
• Document care activities and resident progress timely
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with healthcare providers
• Maintain safety, infection control, and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Recent RN experience in long-term care
• Valid RN license and current BLS/CPR certification
• Critical thinking, strong communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in English, computer skills, and physical ability to perform necessary tasks
• Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and handle pressure
