About the role
Provide skilled nursing care in a long-term-care facility setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health and develop, update, and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and respond appropriately
- Supervise and support nursing staff, including LPNs and CNAs
- Educate residents and families on care plans, health maintenance, and disease management
- Document all care provided in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Respond to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care
- Ensure compliance with all safety, infection-control, and regulatory protocols
Requirements
- Valid, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of one year of recent long-term-care (LTC) or skilled-nursing-facility experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Preferred: ACLS certification and any additional facility-specific credentials

- Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in electronic health records and clinical documentation
