About the role

TRS Healthcare is seeking a travel Long Term Acute Care Speech Language Pathologist for a position in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech-language pathology services to patients in a long-term acute care setting.
  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient progress and communicate effectively with referring physicians and other healthcare providers.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of New Mexico.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • At least one year of recent clinical experience in long-term acute care settings.
  • Knowledge of long-term acute care protocols and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Passing score on the Praxis II exam for Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience with long-term acute care equipment and technology.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

  • Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
