Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate basic nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
• Administer prescribed medications and document administration accurately
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition; track vital signs and respond to deviations
• Support development and execution of individualized care plans; assist with activities of daily living
• Perform routine assessments, wound care, and sterile/clean technique as appropriate
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality resident care; maintain accurate charting in the electronic health record
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols; promote resident dignity and comfort

Requirements

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico (or eligible to practice in NM)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, with flexibility to adapt to the 3x12 schedule
• Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment preferred
• Excellent communication and patient-care teamwork skills
• Local to the Gallup area for local-only assignment
