About the role
The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery will be responsible for providing comprehensive care for expectant mothers and their newborns. This position requires charge experience and proficiency in labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care. The nurse will work in a unit with a high level of acuity and must be able to manage complex clinical situations.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 care for active labors, inductions, and C-sections.
- Perform assessments and interventions during labor and delivery.
- Handle OB emergencies such as shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage.
- Utilize fetal monitoring, and administer medications including Pitocin and Cervidil.
- Conduct daily safety rounds on patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Must have charge experience in a Labor and Delivery setting.
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring training.
- Experience with inductions, C-sections, and neonatal care is preferred.
Qualifications
Must have a current RN license in good standing.

Pay
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Full-time, 3 shifts per week, rotating weekends and holidays).
